My Grandmother was “Monk”.  My mother was Bobbie and she had three children, Elizabeth, Christie, and myself. Our mother served on the board of directors for many years. I have been a member of the board since my mother’s passing in 2003. I currently live in Greenville with my wife. We have two beautiful daughters with two beautiful granddaughters. I am a retired Chief Operating Officer from the automotive world. Having grown up living and working in the park, I have learned the value of hard work. I’m very proud of Pirate Cove and our families hard work in the growth of the park.  I want to ensure our residents happiness now and in the future. Thank you for your support in Pirate Cove.

Elizabeth Vereen Eason (Monk) was my grandmother and her first born was my Mom, Faye.I absolutely adored them both and will be forever grateful for them both loving me so much which reflected in my growth from a very happy child to an adult.
My Mom had 5 children Terry, Debra, Scarlett, Don, and me being the baby.My fondest memories in the park were riding my bike down the narrow dirt roads or fishing from the lake with a cane pole or playing in Grandma’s huge gold fish pond that was built from the rocks that came out of the lake. I spent a lot of time with Grandma as a child and we would rake leaves and plant flowers around the live oaks in front of her place at the park entrance which is across from the office.I would visit Uncle Eric at the Surf Shop and stay with Aunt Charlotte in her little camper many weekends and learned to cross stitch, needle point, and crochet at Aunt Bobbie’s Yarn Shop where the vacant land is now along Hwy 17 in front of the park.It was a wonderful place to explore as a child and I will forever cherish my time spent there with family and meeting new residents which became more like family to us.I came to Charleston for college and fell in love with the old buildings and history.I have been married for 36 years and had two children and two grandchildren.I have been a realtor selling residential real estate since 1988 in Charleston.I have been a board member since 2010 and as a family we work together to continue makingPirate Cove the best place to live at the beach.

Jennifer Whitlock - Board Member, On-site office staff, Sales Manager. My Grandmother “Monk”, left our family the most incredible gift, her legacy, Pirate Cove. Monks daughter, Becky Jo Sabo, served on the board for many years. Around the end of 2019, My mother, Becky Jo, turned over her BOD position to me. I am proud to be a part of serving our family by ensuring Pirate Cove continues to flourish for generations to come. I am married to my amazing husband Rhett. Together, we have 7 boys, 3 daughter-in-laws, and 5 grandchildren. Some are pictured above. We live on the water in Murells Inlet, just a few minutes from the park. You can find me either in the office, running around the park, traveling with my family, or boating on the water somewhere local with my family and friends. Since January of 2021, I have enjoyed being hands-on working in the park. Besides working in the office on day to day operations, I have enjoyed helping new residents find their perfect home in the park. Meeting all of the residents and working together with my aunts and cousins to make Pirate Cove the best place to live and vacation has been so rewarding. I hope to one day meet everyone that has decided to spend time in our little paradise, Pirate Cove.
